DENPASAR - The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Badung Regency, Bali, examined seven foreign nationals suspected of being involved in prostitution when they were caught in a foreign surveillance operation.

"Of the seven foreigners, we arrested two people at the boarding house and five others who were arrested at one of the villas," said Head of the Ngurah Immigration Office, Rai Suhendra, Monday, October 14.

The seven foreigners came from six different countries and were arrested in a foreign surveillance operation entitled Jagratara on October 7, 2024.

They are all female, namely the initials FN aged 48 years and AN aged 41 years, both from Uganda.

Then, the 29-year-old VP from Russia, 20-year-old AP from Ukraine, then 28-year-old ZR from Uzbekistan, 21-year-old AC from Belarus, and 21-year-old AM from Brazil.

From the results of the examination, Ngurah Rai Immigration officers found a number of evidences indicating the involvement of the seven foreigners in the practice of prostitution, including conversations in application-based messages and a number of contraceptives.

Not only that, they have also dared to give tariffs, including foreigners from Uganda who set a tariff of 300 US dollars and other foreigners of up to Rp. 6.5 million.

Without waiting long time, of the seven foreigners, two of them had been sent back to their country on Friday (11/10) night, namely AC to Belarus and AM to Brazil.

Meanwhile, five other people are still being held at the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center and the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office.

Immigration Ngurah Rai Bali imposed Article 75 paragraph 1 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

The regulation states that immigration officials are authorized to carry out immigration administrative measures (TAK) against foreigners in Indonesia who carry out dangerous activities or should be suspected of endangering security and public order or not respecting or disobeying statutory regulations.

These CAN be in the form of preventing entry to Indonesia, restriction, change or cancellation of residence permits, prohibition of being in Indonesia, having to live in a certain place in Indonesia, imposition of expenses and/or deportation.
