Desperate To Drink Potassium, Girl In Buleleng Bali Killed

The funeral home of a girl who died drinking potassium in Buleleng Bali (IST)

BULELENG - The girl with the initials DKA (15) was determined to drink potassium until she was found dead.

"There has been a death suspected of having drunk potassium", Head of Public Relations at Buleleng Police, Bali, Iptu Gede Sumarjaya, Monday, April 5.

The incident occurred on Sunday 4 April afternoon, in the Banjar Dinas Mandul, Panji Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali.

At first, the victim was awakened by her parents. However, her condition was weak and she was taken to BaliMed Buleleng Hospital.

"In the emergency room, after being examined by a doctor, the victim was declared dead. Then the family brought the victim to the funeral home", he said.

"(Potassium) was found in the room, the rest was in a glass thrown away by her sibling. There was no sign of violence. From the results of the interview with her family (the victim), there was no problem, the communication was good", said Sumarjaya.

Police asked parents for information. The family refused an autopsy on the child's body.

"The victim is suspected of having died because of drinking potassium. The case is still being investigated by the Sukasada Police and is being stated in a police report", Sumarjaya continued.

The police are still investigating the motives of the victim to drink potassium.

"It is still in the process of being investigated because there is no concern about conveying the problem to her parents or others", said Sumarjaya.
