Hurricane Milton Kills 4 People In US Florida

JAKARTA - Hurricane Milton hit the Atlantic Ocean after cutting destructive lines across Florida. The storm caused a tornado that destroyed houses and killed 4 people.

Governor Ron DeSantis said the state had avoided the worst-case scenario. But he warned the damage was still significant.

Reported by Reuters on Thursday, October 10, the Tampa Bay area appears to have avoided deadly sea waves that sparked the most dire warning.

Four deaths occurred in St. Live on the east coast of Florida, with two of them occurring in the Spanish Lake Community, an elderly residential area.

He said it had not been recorded whether the other two dead victims were in the Spanish Lakes.

There were 19 tornadoes that occurred in Florida on Wednesday at 8 p.m., around the time Milton hit, DeSantis said.

More than 3 million homes and businesses in Florida without electricity on Thursday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.

Some of them have been waiting days for power to return to normal after Hurricane Helene hit the area nearly two weeks ago.

The storm left a gaping hole on the roof of the Tropicana Field cloth, the stadium of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team in St. Petersburg, but there were no reports of injuries.
