The Naming Of The Bundaran HI Bank DKI MRT Station Becomes A Strengthening Of BUMD Synergy

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono inaugurated the naming of Bank DKI Bank HI Roundabout Station. Heru said that the use of this naming right was an effort to strengthen synergy among regional-owned enterprises (BUMD).

"I appreciate the synergy between the DKI Jakarta BUMD, namely PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) and PT Bank DKI, through the right to name this station. Let's continue to strengthen the synergy of BUMD to provide optimal service to all Jakarta residents," Heru said in his statement, Wednesday, October 9.

President Director of PT Bank DKI Agus H. Widodo explained that this naming rights partnership is planned to last until 2027.

"This partnership is not only limited to the station naming rights, but also strengthens Bank DKI's synergy in developing a modern digital payment system and makes it easier for the community," said Agus.

The naming of Bank DKI's HI Roundabout Station is a continuation of the synergy between Bank DKI and MRT Jakarta, which was previously established through the support of Bank DKI at the launch of MartiPay by MRT Jakarta, which is a co-branding collaboration between digital Bank DKI, JakOne Pay to MartiPay, as a non-cash payment option for MRT Jakarta transportation mode.

Meanwhile, Director of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Tuhiyat said, currently there are eight MRT Jakarta stations that have partnered in terms of naming rights. Bank DKI's HI Roundabout Station is the ninth station in phase 1 which is collaborated in terms of naming rights.

"In the future, we will open up more opportunities to partner with various parties regarding the right to name the station, which is one of the initiatives of the Jakarta MRT in terms of non-ticket income," he said.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, added that this inauguration is a tangible manifestation of the synergy of the DKI Jakarta Provincial BUMD in improving higher quality public facilities for Jakarta residents. He explained that since it was operated from 2019 to 2024, MRT Jakarta has served more than 100 million passengers and the HI Roundabout Station is one of the stations that is crowded with passengers.

"Apresiasi kepada PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) atas inovasi dalam pengembangan pendapatan non-farebox melalui penerapan hak penamaan station (naming rights), seperti penamaan Stasiun Bundaran HI Bank DKI ini. MRT Jakarta telah menjadi pionir implementasi hak penemaman di sektor transport publik," tutup Syafrin.
