TNI Promises Rank Promotion To Education For Soldiers With Achievements In Sports

JAKARTA - Expert Staff Coordinator (Koorsahli) TNI Commander, Major General TNI Maryono said that TNI personnel who excel such as in the field of sports have the right to appreciate the leadership or the task force.

"Of course there is appreciation from the leadership, it could be material (money), promotion of rank or education ahead of colleagues, or positions, which have been regulated according to the regulations in force in the TNI," said Maryono after representing the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto to open a championship activity, Wednesday, October 9, which was confiscated by Antara.

He stated that the athletes will always be supported by the TNI as an institution to excel in the field of sports.

Because, he continued, so far the TNI has also recruited personnel through special channels in the field of sports achievements, so the commitment to support the improvement of national achievements has become one of the goals of the TNI in the future.

"The TNI is always committed to building national sports, one of which is helping to find the seeds of Indonesian athletes for the future," he said.

Even internally, said Maryono, the talents of the newly recruited personnel will be fostered by the central executive body in the TNI.

"During national championships such as PON and others, provincial, district/city federations from a number of sports always write to involve TNI personnel as members of the sports contingent and it is always approved, if in the Army (AD) of course signed by the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) TNI," he said.

Meanwhile, the Sport Climbing Open Championship of the Indonesian Armed Forces Commander of the 2024 TNI Cup which was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, starting from 9-12 October 2024 followed by 321 athletes.

This activity is part of a series of commemorating the 79th Anniversary of the TNI, which peaked the commemoration on October 5 and was attended by more than 60 TNI personnel.
