JAKARTA - Russian hypersonic missiles hit the main air base area of Starokostiantyniv in Ukraine.
The latest attack on the Starokostiantyniv airfield in the western region of Khmelnytskyi, which is often attacked by Russia, came a day after the Dutch defense minister said the Netherlands would supply more F-16 jets to Ukraine in the coming months.
Ukraine, which received a number of F-16s this summer after months of lobbying Western countries, kept its warplanes a secret to protect them from long-range attacks by Russia during war.
The air force did not say whether the attack caused damage to the airbase.
"There were no civilian casualties or damage to critical infrastructure," said Governor Serhiy Tyurin.
