BOGOR A large tree fell on Jalan Raya Bogor-Sukabumi, Ciawi District, Bogor Regency, on Sunday, November 24, hit a passing car and motorbike.

The incident resulted in eight people being injured, consisting of three car passengers and five motorcycle riders.

Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Adam Hamdani, said that all victims had been evacuated and rushed to the hospital for treatment.

"The joint SAR team has completed the process of evacuating fallen trees at the scene," said Adam.

According to BPBD reports, the fallen tree was caused by a fragile root condition, coupled with unstable soil and strong winds that hit the area.

As a result of this incident, the traffic flow in the Bogor-Sukabumi Highway area had experienced severe congestion. However, thanks to the quick efforts of the joint team, the traffic conditions on Sunday afternoon have returned to normal.
