JAKARTA - Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), the biggest annual trade show in Indonesia will be held again at ICE BSD Tangerang, 9-12 October 2024, with the theme "Build Strong Connection With The Best of Indonesia".

TEI is an international trade show focused on B2B designed to drive the growth of state export products and expand its export market.

This year is the second year the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through the Directorate General of Vocational Education participated in the event held by the Directorate General of National Export Development (PEN) of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia.

In this trade exhibition, which was attended by leading national companies and attended by many potential buyers from within and outside the country, 10 Vocational Education Units (SPV) will feature 25 innovation products, consisting of 7 Vocational Education Organizing Universities (PTPPV) and 3 Vocational High Schools (SMK).

Secretary of the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Saryadi, said that this event is proof and commitment of the Directorate General of Vocational Education encourages SPV, both SMK and PTPPV, to enter the industrial ecosystem.

Vocational education is expected to provide relevant learning so that it can become part of increasing industrial competitiveness and contributing to increasing national economic growth.

The products exhibited at TEI at the vocational booth are innovations produced by SPV, the best products from vocational education that contribute directly to supporting Indonesia's economic development. TEI showcases that all products made in Indonesia start from the industrial, mining, agriculture, and handicraft sectors from quality and highly competitive product suppliers with guaranteed reputations in the international world.

Meanwhile, the Director of Export Development for Primary Products at the Ministry of Trade, Miftah Farid also appreciated the Directorate General of Vocations who supported SPV to be integrated with industry.

According to Miftah, through this TEI event, SPV has many opportunities that can be used to strengthen domestic competitiveness.

TEI this year is 39th. TEI has excellent recognition, from domestic exporters and from international buyers. This can be seen from the participation of this TEI up 10 percent compared to last 2023. International recognition indicators can be seen from international registered buyers, this year there are 9,000 buyers, up 52 percent compared to 2023," said Miftah.
