ASN Transfer To IKN Wait For Prabowo Government

JAKARTA - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Azwar Anas revealed that the process of transferring state civil servants (ASN) to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan will be carried out during the presidential and vice presidential terms of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Of course this is a decision on a new government, but we have prepared various scenarios related to the transfer," said Anas after at the Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 2.

Azwar Anas explained that the latest directive from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was to complete all ecosystems in IKN, especially related to IKN supporting infrastructure.

He gave an example that a number of apartments have been completed for ASN. However, there are also other infrastructures that have not been completed. "For example, there are more than 500 apartment units completed. However, there is road infrastructure that is sometimes still dusty," he said.

In addition, other ASN work support facilities, such as digital systems, have not been completed.

Azwar said that his party had prepared various plans to transfer ASN to IKN. However, the execution is waiting for President Joko Widodo's direction.

"All preparations continue to be finalized, including office facilities and others which we now think are quite encouraging," he said.
