Iranian Missile Hit Military Base, Israel Claims No Major Damage

JAKARTA - A number of Iranian missiles hit an Israeli military base on Tuesday (1/10) night. Israel's military source told CNN there was no major damage to the facility.

"There was no damage to the function of the IAF (Israeli Air Force)," the source said, Wednesday, October 2.

The source said there were a number of attacks from Iran, but failed to reach the location of critical infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the latest in Israel's attack on southern Lebanon, the Israeli military confirmed the death of the first army in fighting.

A 22-year-old troop commander in the Israeli Defense Forces Brigade (IDF) was killed in fighting, according to an Israeli military statement.

Hezbollah said they had previously clashed with Israeli troops in southern Lebanon. Israel did not say in Lebanon where the army was killed.

The Israeli military claims to have carried out close combat, destroying more than 150 Hezbollah infrastructure sites and restting terrorists' in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah spokesman Mohamed Afif said his party clashed with Israeli forces in Aadeyseh. In a separate statement, he said clashes were also ongoing with Israeli soldiers in Maroun Al-Ras village.
