KUPANG - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated 27 roads for the Regional Road Inpres (IJD) program which was built in 2023 in Naioni Village, Manulai II District, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
"By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim road repair, road construction in the NTT Provision with the Regional Road Instruction which cost IDR 737 billion today, I declare that it was inaugurated," said President Jokowi as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 1.
Jokowi said that overall the length of the IJD road that had been built in NTT reached 217 kilometers.
Of these, it is spread across 20 districts in NTT, and one of them is in Naioni Village, Kupang City which was inaugurated.
Jokowi said roads are an important infrastructure for the community, therefore the government continues to develop road infrastructure.
Jokowi emphasized that roads can help mobilize goods, people, and to speed up logistics shipments.
With a budget of IDR 737 billion, it is hoped that all roads in NTT can be repaired, such as the condition of roads in Naioni Village.
"As we can see on this road smoothly, there are no holes and people can enjoy it," he said.
Jokowi made a series of working visits to NTT for approximately two days.

After inaugurating the IJD in Kupang City, Jokowi is scheduled for Wednesday (2/10) tomorrow to inaugurate the Temef Dam in South Central Timor Regency (TTS) and also PLBN Napan in North Central Timor Regency (TTU).
