Former Director General Of The Ministry Of Manpower Reyna Usman Sued 4 Years 8 Months In Prison, Replacement Money Of IDR 3 Billion

JAKARTA - Former Director General (Dirjen) of Manpower Placement Development (Binapenta) of the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) 2011 '2015 Reyna Usman was sentenced to imprisonment for 4 years and 8 months related to the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower in 2012.

The public prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission (JPU KPK) Sisca Carolina Karubun assessed that Reyna was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption.

"As regulated and subject to criminal penalties in Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code," said the Public Prosecutor in a hearing reading the charges at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor), Tuesday, October 1.

In addition to imprisonment, the Public Prosecutor also demanded that Reyna be sentenced to a fine of Rp250 million, provided that if the fine was not paid, it was replaced with imprisonment for 3 months.

Reyna is also required to be sentenced to an additional Rp3 billion in replacement money for 1 year.

Along with Reyna, there were two other defendants who carried out trial charges on the same case, namely the commitment-making official (PPK) for the procurement of the TKI protection system in 2012 I Nyoman Darmanta and the Director of PT Adi Inti Mandiri (AIM) Karunia.

I Nyoman Darmanta was sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years and 10 months and a fine of Rp. 250 million, subsidiary to 3 months, while Kurnia was sentenced to 5 years and 3 months in prison and a fine of Rp. 250 million, subsidiary to 3 months, as well as replacement money of Rp. 8.44 billion, subsidiary to 1 year in prison.

In this case, Reyna was charged with causing state losses of Rp. 17.68 billion in the case with I Nyoman Darmanta and Karunia, who were also defendants.
