Puan Submits Memory Book For The 2019-2024 Period At The Inauguration Of The DPR

JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period, Puan Maharani, handed over a memory book in the inauguration of DPR members for the 2024-2029 period in the plenary session room.

The memory book contains the performance of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period which has just completed its term of service.

During the inauguration ceremony, as many as 580 people's representatives took their oath/promise as members of the DPR guided by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA) Muhammad Syarifuddin. Of the 580 members of the DPR, some are incumbent members like Puan.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the elected president Prabowo Subianto and cabinet ministers.

The plenary session for the pronunciation of the promise of members of the DPR was chaired by the interim leadership of the DPR RI which was handed over to the oldest members of the DPR, namely Guntur Sasono (78) and the youngest DPR anggora, Annisa Mahesa (23).

After signing the minutes of the oath/promise of members of the DPR, Puan as Chair of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period handed over the DPR memory book for the 2019-2024 membership period to the DPR for the 2029-2024 membership period.

Symbolically, the memory book was handed over by Puan to the interim leadership of the DPR. Puan was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period, namely Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Muhaimin Iskandar, and Rachmat Gobel.

"Thank you to the leadership of the DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period for its constitutional performance for the benefit of the nation and state," said Guntur Sasono after receiving the memory book.

The memory book itself contains performance reports and problem inventory during the 5th anniversary of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period, both those that have been completed and those that have not been resolved. The book is expected to be used as input for the DPR for the 2024-2029 period in carrying out its duties.

The DPR RI Memory Book for the 2019-2024 period consists of X Chapters. In addition to containing the DPR's performance from the legislative, budget, supervision, and diplomacy functions of parliament, this book also contains the Covid-19 pandemic which had changed the work of the DPR.

In addition, the memory book also discusses the profile of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period, to the strengthening of DPR's institutional governance as well as the council's efforts to maintain integrity through the DPR's performance survey.

In this memory book, it is explained in detail about the number of legislation that was born by the DPR for the 2019-2024 period, which is 225 laws. Then also the work achievements of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period in the function of budget, supervision, and parliamentary diplomacy.
