Puan Calls Jokowi's Legislative And Executive Relations Very Good

Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) 2019-2024, Puan Maharani, said that the relationship between legislative and executive institutions during the 10 years of the administration of Indonesian President Joko Widodo was going very well.

This was conveyed by Puan when asked for her response regarding the legislative and executive relationship after attending the Pancasila Sanctity Day Commemoration Ceremony at the Pancasila Sakti Monument, Lubang Buaya, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 1.

"Currently, Pak Jokowi's 10 years of government, the relationship between the executive and the legislature has been well established. Even though there are many dynamics, finally a common ground can be found between political parties or factions in the legislature," said Puan.

Puan hopes that in the next government, the legislative and executive relations will continue to be built dynamically, constructively, and harmoniously.

Regarding the direction of legislation in the next 5 years, Puan said that parliament wants to build quality legislation.

"There is no need to be grandiose or too much, but it must also be remembered that the legal product is not only made by the DPR, but also must be with the Government, so the synergy between the two must indeed be built," he explained.

In addition, he said, the most important thing is to listen to the aspirations and input from the community and carry out the legislative process in accordance with a good mechanism so that the products of the legislation will benefit the people and nation and state.
