Often Troubled, DPRD Will Watch DKI Provincial Government Asset Management Worth IDR 601 Trillion

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD has determined the composition of the leadership of the council for the period 2024-2029. Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wibi Andrino, said that one of the problems that became the focus of resolving the DPRD for this period was asset management.

Wibi assessed that for a long time, asset management by the DKI Provincial Government was still problematic. There are still many government-owned assets that have not been recorded, there are even assets that are still controlled by irresponsible developers.

According to Wibi, the fixed assets worth IDR 604 trillion need serious attention so that they can be maximized for the development of Jakarta.

"We will pay serious attention to the issue of asset management in the upcoming discussion meeting," said Wibi, Tuesday, October 1.

The problem of maintaining asset management in Jakarta, added Wibu, is always a concern. In fact, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) always records the issue of asset management in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's financial statements.

"We, together with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, continue to strive to improve asset management. It is not easy because the asset value is large, but we continue to organize it," said Wibi.

In fact, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, plans to form a task force belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. The DKI DPRD asset task force will work to trace the problem of listing assets so that assets belonging to the DKI Provincial Government are recorded and managed optimally.

"I want in the future to form a kind of Asset Task Force to ensure our assets are productive and we can regain our rights," said Khoirudin, some time ago.

If formed, the asset task force will be tasked with overseeing revenues originating from assets. Thus, there will be no more leakage due to not being properly recorded in providing income from asset utilization.

"We will review the system and carry out strict monitoring so that we can find out and immediately resolve the leakage of income," said Khoirudin.
