Pramono Anung Promises Free LRT And MRT For ASN

JAKARTA - Jakarta governor candidate Pramono Anung promised to provide access to free public transportation such as LRT and MRT for state civil servants (ASN) and 15 other community groups.

Although he has not specified who is included in the group, Pramono is optimistic that this program can be realized if he is elected governor.

"I have studied it and I am sure the scheme can. Now, the busway is free for several groups, and we will free the MRT and LRT if I am given the mandate," Pramono said after gymnastics with residents in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Sunday, September 29.

Pramono emphasized that the success of this program requires cooperation between local and central governments. According to him, there are several aspects in the management of transportation that are under the authority of the central government, so that the synergy between the two is an important element.

Pramono also explained that if this program runs, the positive impact will not only be felt by Jakarta residents, but will also benefit buffer areas such as Depok, Bekasi, Tangerang, and South Tangerang.

Pramono added that he had also discussed with several transportation experts who said this program was very possible to be realized.

"Yesterday I met a transportation expert, and we have calculated it. This is very, very possible," said Pramono.
