Viral Video Of Immoral Teachers And Gorontalo Students, Police Set Suspect Teachers

GORONTALO - The Gorontalo Police Criminal Investigation Unit investigated the immoral videos of teachers and students in Gorontalo which went viral on social media. The teaching person is now a suspect.

The police have arrested a teacher with the initials DH who is suspected of being the actor in the video.

Gorontalo Police Chief AKBP Deddy Herman said officers had examined the alleged perpetrators and victims. The examination of the two was carried out by the Gorontalo Police after receiving a report from the victim's uncle regarding immoral acts committed by unscrupulous teachers against their students.

"The Gorontalo Police received a report from the victim's uncle as the guardian of the victim on September 23, 2024. Then we conducted an investigation and examination and named a suspect who was a teacher at a school in Gorontalo Regency," said AKBP Deddy Herman.

From the results of the officer's examination, this teacher and student have had a close relationship since early 2022.

"The chronology of the incident shows that in early 2022 the victim had a close relationship with the suspect DH then continued until it happened as his colleagues know," said the police chief.

Apart from the alleged perpetrator and the victim, the officers have also examined 10 other witnesses. Officers have also collected several pieces of evidence in the viral video.

"The suspect is charged with the Child Protection Act, and is threatened with a minimum sentence of 5 years in prison and a maximum of 15 years in prison and an additional one-third of the sentence because the person concerned is an educator," said Gorontalo Police Chief AKBP Deddy.
