Trump: My Life's Big Threat From Iran

JAKARTA - Former US President Donald Trump said he had come under great threat to his life from Iran.

"The big threat to my life from Iran. Iran has taken various actions that have not been successful, but they will try again," said the Republican presidential candidate at Truth Social as reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Wednesday, September 25.

Trump also said the entire US military was "supervising and waiting."

Trump's remarks came after gunshots were heard near his Florida location on September 15, although officers later made sure he was safe.

In the September 15 incident, which authorities investigated as attempted murder, was the second incident in months in which someone attempted to kill the former president.

Earlier on July 13, Trump was lightly injured when a bullet hit his ear while campaigning in Pennsylvania.

The perpetrator, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was later killed by the Secret Service who retaliated to shoot the perpetrator.

Trump thanked the US Congress for unanimously approving additional funding for the Secret Service, and stressed that he is currently surrounded by more men, weapons, and weapons than ever before.

Trump was briefed on Tuesday (24/9) by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on what officials described as "real and specific threats" from Iran to kill him, with the aim of disrupting US stability, his campaign team said late Tuesday.

"Army officials have identified that these ongoing and coordinated attacks have escalated in recent months, and law enforcement officials at all agencies are working to ensure Trump's president is protected and general elections are free from interference," Steven Cheung, Trump's campaign communications director, said in a statement.

"The terror regime in Iran likes Kamala Harris's weakness, as well as fears of President Trump's strength and determination," addedCheung.
