Four RTs And A Number Of Roads In Jakarta Flood After Heavy Rain

It was reported that four neighborhood units (RT) and a number of roads in East and South Jakarta as well as the West were flooded with water levels of 40 to 90 centimeters (cm) due to high rainfall.

"In detail, one RT in the East Jakarta Crocodile Lubang area until 19.00 WIB, the water level reaches 90 cm," said Head of the Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) of the DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mohamad Yohan, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 25.

Yohan said the floods also hit two RTs in the South Sukabumi area, West Jakarta with a height of 60 cm with the same cause.

Then, one RT in West Cilandak, South Jakarta with a height of 40 cm, due to other than heavy rain, as well as the overflow of Krukut River.

Meanwhile, two roads were inundated, namely Jalan Kemang Utara IX, Bangka with a height of 15 cm and Jalan Taruna Pahlawan Revolution, in front of SMPN 117), Pondok Bambu with a height of 20 cm.

"Then, the two roads that have receded are Jalan Raya Ciledug (Seskoal), Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama, and Jalan Raya Bogor RT003/RT001 (in front of RSIA Restu Kasih), Kramat Jati," he said.

Not only that, but the rain also caused trees to fall until 18:45 WIB, namely one tree on Jalan Cempaka Putih Tengah, Central Jakarta and one tree on Jalan Margasatwa, South Jakarta.
