JAKARTA - The pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor candidate number 01, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono made a pilgrimage to the graves of Betawi figures at the Karet Bivak TPU on the first day of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election campaign.

"According to custom, the Shari'a starting point of travel is to visit history, national figures, Betawi figures, Jakarta figures who are certainly the beginning of a process with good intentions," said Ridwan Kamil or RK at TPU Karet Bivak, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 25.

According to Ridwan Kamil, a great nation is a nation that respects its history. The man who is familiarly called RK also quoted the statement of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno about 'Jas Merah'.

"Of course, these histories will make the basis for the RIDO pair using historical experience to design the future," said RK.

"There is no day without the past and there is no future without today. So today comes from the past works of the heroes and the future, God willing, we will design it better because we reflect on today's issues," he concluded.
