JAKARTA - Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of North Sumatra number 1 Bobby Nasution-Surya will start their first campaign separately from their respective hometowns on Friday (27/9).

"Pak Bobby Nasution started his zero kilometer, the epicenter of his hometown on Friday, September 27," said Head of the Bobby-Surya Winning Team, Hinca Panjaitan, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 24.

The couple will meet their extended family, then their friends and predecessors by holding a prayer together.

Bobby Nasution carried out his first campaign in Hutabaringin Village, West Panyabungan District, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra.

"On the same day, Surya also held a kenduri in the Asahan Regency in his hometown of Pulau Raja," he said.

The Bobby-Surya Winning Team has prepared a strategy and campaign schedule that will be evaluated periodically and is committed to bringing Bobby-Surya to victory.

"Bobby-Surya carry the tagline of North Sumatra's Berkah Collaboration. The team's readiness to deliver Bobby-Surya to victory requires work and collaboration. That's our task in the next 60 days," he said.

Hinca Panjaitan said the campaign for pair number 1 from September 25 to November 23, 2024 will comb from the east coast to the west coast of North Sumatra.

"We want this competition, which I call the democratic league for governor election throughout Indonesia. If we call it clubs, it means there are 37 provinces fighting," he explained.

He said North Sumatra entered the top or the same and was balanced with other provinces on the island of Java. Therefore, it is worth discussing, both in Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, and East Java.

"The point is Bobby-Surya win, win, win. Play us, turn on my brother," concluded Hinca.

The Bobby Nasution-Surya pair were promoted by 10 political parties, namely the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, NasDem, PKS, PKB, Democrats, PAN, PPP, Perindo, and PSI with valid votes in the 2024 North Sumatra Provincial DPRD elections as many as 5,493,530 votes.

Meanwhile, pair number 2 Edy Rahmayadi-Hasan Basri was promoted by six political parties, namely the PDI-P, Hanura Party, Gelora Party, PKN, Ummat Party, and Labor Party with 1,820,883 valid votes in the 2024 North Sumatra Provincial DPRD Election.
