Two Students In South Jakarta Become Perpetrators Of Motorcycle Confiscation In Debt Collector Mode

JAKARTA - The police arrested 3 of the 6 perpetrators suspected of confiscation of motorcyclists using a debt collector mode, on Jalan Madrasah Ampera, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, last Wednesday, September 18.

Pasar Minggu Police Chief, Kompol Anggiat Sinambela said the three perpetrators had the initials Y, YM and AB.

"We have secured 3 men with the initials Y, YM and AB for confiscation of two-wheeled motorized vehicles. The two perpetrators are students at a university in Tanjung Barat. (Initials) YM and AB," Anggiat told reporters at the Pasar Minggu Police, Monday, September 23.

"The target targets are innocent children and school children," he continued

Anggiat explained that the incident began with a report by a high school student with the initials BM (17) suspected of being a victim of confiscation by 6 perpetrators with debt collector mode.

After getting the target operation, these perpetrators immediately approached the victim by claiming to be a debt collector. Then took the victim on the grounds of joining the leasing office.

"Not long after that, the suspect dropped the identity of the victim who was being carried, then when he stopped, he ordered the victim to come down to pick him up. When the victim took it, the victim's motorbike was taken away by the perpetrator," he said.

After successfully carrying a motorbike, the perpetrators left the stolen items to the Pondok Gede area, East Jakarta.

Not long after, in a similar way, the perpetrators managed to get a motorbike in Jati Kuning 2 Alley, Jambu Kuning Street, Jatipadang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 18. Then it was again stored in its temporary shelter.

"Looking for a target with a similar mode and successfully taking the other motorbike (Beat). So within 30 minutes they have got 2 motorbikes," he said

The police, who received the information, immediately conducted an investigation until the identity of the perpetrators was finally revealed.

Then gave chase until finally three perpetrators were arrested. While the other three perpetrators are still being chased.

The perpetrators were named suspects. They were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with 368 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 5 years in prison

"The threat is five years," he concluded.
