Head Of Bina Marga PUPR Sumbawa Asked To Clarify The NTB Prosecutor's Office For Gratification Of The Purchase Of MXGP Circuit Land

The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office examined two regional officials in Sumbawa Regency related to the alleged gratification case in the process of purchasing land for the Samota Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) circuit worth IDR 53 billion in 2023.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, said that the investigation that took place at the Sumbawa Prosecutor's Office was carried out by a team of prosecutors from the special criminal field (pidsus) to ask for information from a number of officials and data collection.

He ensured that the examination of the two regional officials was for investigation purposes on reports of alleged gratification in the process of purchasing the 70 hectare land.

"This (examination) is still in the lid stage (investigation). So, the language is just clarification," he said in Mataram, Antara, Monday, September 23.

Two officials were questioned by Muhammad Jalaluddin as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) for land acquisition at the Sumbawa Public Housing and Settlement Area (PRKP) Office, and Agusfian as the Head of Highways at the Sumbawa Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Service.

The summoning of these two regional officials has previously been confirmed by Plt. Inspector of the Sumbawa Inspectorate I Made Patrya.

Made confirmed based on the receipt of a summons from the NTB Prosecutor's Office for two regional officials to provide clarification at the Sumbawa Kejari. Both were asked for clarification in the process of investigating allegations of corruption in the land acquisition process for the Samota MXGP circuit.

The land used for the Samota MXGP circuit is 70 hectares. The land worth Rp53 billion was purchased with a regional budget. The purchase of the land took place in 2023. The government bought it from the owner of the land, which is the former East Lombok Regent Ali Bin Dachlan.
