Former President Director Of PT Indofarma Tbk Becomes A Corruption Suspect Who Loses Rp371 Billion To The State

The DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has named three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the financial management of PT Indofarma Tbk and its subsidiary/PHOTO of the DKI Attorney General's Office

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has named three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the financial management of PT Indofarma Tbk and its subsidiary for the period 2020-2023.

Of the three suspects, one of them is Arief Pramuhanto, President Director of PT Indofarma for the 2019-2023 period.

"The suspect AP as the President Director of PT. Indofarma Tbk in 2019-2023 manipulated PT. Indofarma Tbk's 2020 financial report by making receivables/gencies and down payments for the purchase of fictitious medical equipment products so that it seems as if the company's target was met," said Head of the Jakarta Attorney General's Office, Head of Legal Information, Syahron Hasibuan, in his statement, Thursday, September 19.

Two other people were named as suspects, namely GSR as Director of PT Indofarma Global Medika (PT IGM) for the period 2020-2023 and CSY as Head of Finance of PT. IGM for 2019-2021.

Currently, the three of them are undergoing detention for the next 20 days. This is done for the process of further investigation.

The three suspects were detained at different locations. AP is being held at the Class 1 State Detention Center in Central Jakarta. Then, GSR at the Salemba Rutan Branch of the Attorney General's Office and CSY at the Salemba Rutan, South Jakarta District Attorney Branch.

In this case, their actions have caused state losses to reach hundreds of billions. That figure is based on the interim team of investigators.

"The suspects have harmed the state in the amount of Rp. 371,000,000,000, which is currently still in the calculation of state financial losses by BPK RI," said Syahron.

The three suspects were threatened with criminal sanctions Article 2 paragraph (1), Article 3, Jo. Article 18 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code Jo. Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
