Anies Has Not Confirmed Support For RK-Suswono Or Pramono-Rano, This Is The Reason

JAKARTA - Former candidate for DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has yet to decide which Jakarta governor-cawagub will be given support.

This was revealed by Anies' spokesman, Angga Putra Fidrian when responding to the survey results stating that Anies' alignment could boost the electability of one of the pairs of candidates he supports.

"While there is still no decision who will be supported by Mr. Anies," Angga said in his statement, Thursday, September 19.

Anies, said Angga, still wanted to see what the ideas were to build Jakarta from each pair of candidates, namely Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana.

For Anies, the idea of these potential leaders is more important to know how they want to bring Jakarta in the next five years.

"For the supporters of Mr. Anies, let's wait for the candidate pairs to convey their ideas first. There is still time. Don't rush," he said.

The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) released a poll regarding the effect of Anies Baswedan's support on the electability of the candidate pair for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada.

As a result, both Ridwan Kamil-Suswono and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno couples need Anies' support so that residents who support the former Governor of DKI Jakarta can participate in choosing RK-Suswono or Pramono-Rano.

"Anies' influence is significant for both Pramono-Rano and Ridwan Kamil-Suswono," said LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan in a virtual survey presentation, Wednesday, September 18.

In the survey simulation, if Anies reveals his support for RK-Suswono, the electability of the gubernatorial-cawagubAGE of KIM Plus will be 53.7 percent. This figure increased from the results of the RK-Suswono survey without any support from Anies with 51.7 percent electability.

Then, if Anies supports Pramono-Rano, the electability of the couple promoted by PDIP and Hanura will also increase to 31.5 percent of the non-supported electability by 29 percent.

"If Pramono-Rano wants to be competitive or bring electability closer to RK-Suswono, then Pramono-Rano needs support from Anies Baswedan, because although it has not significantly increased electability, it significantly reduces the electability of RK and Suswono," explained Djayadi.

"On the other hand, RK-Suswono needs support from Anies Baswedan to ensure that they can not cast their voices or remain easier to walk to become winners," he added.
