Indonesian Bawaslu Holds The National Coordination Meeting Of The Gakkumdu Center Tomorrow

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Election Supervisory Agency held a National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) on Thursday 19 September.

"Yes, that's right, the National Coordination Meeting of the Gakkumdu Center tomorrow," said Member of the Indonesian Bawaslu Puadi when contacted, Wednesday, September 18.

On a different occasion, the Chairman of the Indonesian Bawaslu Rahmat Bagja also confirmed the holding of the event.

Meanwhile, when asked about the formation of the Gakkumdu Center for the 2024 Pilkada, he only hinted that it had been formed.

"Seharusnya sejak tahapan dimulai (sudah dibentuk, red.), tetapi biasanya dimulai pada saat pendaftaran," kata Bagja di kawasan Gambir, Jakarta, Rabu.

Previously, Bagja in a statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday, May 15, said the Gakkumdu Center would soon be formed ahead of the 2024 Pilkada.

"We hope that by the end of May 2024 it will be formed. Because the time will continue, it is impossible to postpone it until next month," said Bagja.

According to him, the formation of the Gakkumdu Center for the 2024 Pilkada is very important because the stages of fulfilling the requirements for the support of individual candidate pairs are already underway.

Based on the schedule for the 2024 Pilkada, currently a candidate pair will be determined on September 22, 2024. Furthermore, from September 25 to November 23, 2024, the candidate pairs are scheduled to campaign.

November 27, 2024, became the voting day for the 2024 Pilkada, and continued with the counting and recapitulation of vote count until December 16, 2024.
