Red and White Expedition Arrives in Rupat, Riau Police Helps Fishermen to Plant 1,000 Mangroves     

The Red and White Precision Expedition of the Riau Police reached the coastal and outermost island communities at Makeruh Beach, Makeruh Village, Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency.

BENGKALIS - The Riau Police's Precision Red and White Expedition reached the coastal and outermost island communities at Makeruh Beach, Makeruh Village, Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency.

Led by the Head of the Riau Police, Brigjen Hengki Haryadi, the expedition brought various assistance that directly touched the needs of the community.

A total of 10 units of ketinting machines were handed over to fishermen, 100 social assistance packages, 500 Red and White flags, sports equipment, and one motorcycle to support the mobility of Bhabinkamtibmas of the Rupat Police.

"The spirit of independence should not only be felt in the city center. Red and White must be present to the outermost coast and islands. More than that, people on the edge of the country must really feel the presence of the state," said Brigadier General Hengki, Thursday, August 6.

According to him, the assistance provided is adjusted to the needs of the community. The ketinting machine, for example, is expected to help the productivity of fishermen who depend on the sea for their livelihood.

"We want to come not only to bring symbols, but also benefits. The red and white we bring must go hand in hand with real work that can be felt by the community," he said.

The Red and White Precision Expedition of the Riau Police reached the coastal and outermost island communities at Makeruh Beach, Makeruh Village, Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency.

The expedition also provided free health services for 50 residents. Together with the Regent of Bengkalis, the Bengkalis Police Chief AKBP Fahrian Saleh Siregar, Forkopimda and the community, the Police Chief also planted 1,000 mangrove trees as an implementation of Green Policing.

Hengki said that maintaining the country is not only maintaining security, but also the environment where people depend on their lives. Planting mangroves is expected to help prevent abrasion while maintaining the Rupat coastal ecosystem.

Meanwhile, the Bengkalis Police Chief AKBP Fahrian Saleh Siregar said that the Precision Red and White Expedition was an opportunity to bring the National Police closer and listen to the needs of the community in coastal areas.

"We hope that the benefits will not stop today. The broken machine helps fishermen work, social assistance touches the needs of the people, while the Bhabinkamtibmas motorcycle will strengthen the police's service to the community," said Fahrian.

According to Fahrian, the Bengkalis Police will continue the spirit of the expedition through daily police services, especially through the role of Bhabinkamtibmas as the spearhead of the National Police in the community.

"The expedition has a series of times, but the presence of the National Police must not stop after the activity is completed. Communication, service and partnership with the community must continue to be maintained," he said.

The Precision Red and White Expedition was held by the Riau Police to celebrate the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia by targeting coastal areas and the outermost islands.

In addition to strengthening nationalism, the expedition brings social services, health, economic support for the community, and environmental preservation through Green Policing.

The expedition moved to a number of points such as Panipahan in Rokan Hilir, Rupat Island in Bengkalis, Rangsang Island in the Meranti Islands to Concong in Indragiri Hilir.

Through this expedition, the Riau Police want to ensure that the Red and White flag is not only flying in government centers, but also to the edge of the country, as well as ensuring that people in the outermost regions feel the presence of the state in the midst of their lives.
