Feeling Cheated, The Buyer Of The Toyota Rush Accused Of Being A Thief Finally Reported To The Police

Ahmad Faisal Siregar, a Toyota Rush car buyer who was beaten by Duren Sawit residents for being accused of being a thief, finally came to the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Wednesday afternoon, September 18. Ahmad Faisal was examined because he felt cheated by the car seller.

At the East Jakarta Metro Police, the spokesman for the victim, Sultoni explained, initially Ahmad Faisal saw advertisements for selling Toyota Rush cars in 2018 on Facebook. Faisal then received directions by Muhamad Ramadan (the account number owner) to see the unit in the Pondok Kelapa area, Jalan Lembah Pinang Raya Kavling DKI RT 011/09 Pondok Kelapa Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Saturday, September 14.

"Ahmad Faisal and Jamaludin (brother-in-law) visited the location of the car owner named Acoka. In the process of buying and selling, there were only car owners, Acoka and two buyers named Ahmad Faisal and Jamaludin," said Sultoni to reporters at the East Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday, September 18.

To be sure, Ahmad Faisal had asked about the relationship between Acoka and Muhamad Ramadan. Then the owner of the car admitted that Muhamad Ramadan was his son who lived in Depok.

During the transaction, Acoka admitted that his son was not at home because he was working. Then Ahmad Faisal checked the condition of the car and the vehicle documents.

Fasial also again asked about the truth of Acoka's relationship with Muhamad Ramadan repeatedly to convince him. And Acoka still said that Muhamad Ramadan was his son.

After Ahmad Faisal was confident about the condition of the car, be it the engine number and frame number, Faisal asked how to pay for the purchase of the car. Long story short, payment transactions occur.

"In the transaction, Muhamad Ramadan said to transfer the money for the car payment to the two accounts in the name of Muhamad Ramadan (BRI Bank and Mandiri)," said the man who is also the chairman of PB KAMI.

In the first transfer, it was made worth Rp68 million to Mandiri's account on behalf of Muhamad Ramadan and has been confirmed to Acoka. Then the car owner gave BPKB, STNK, service book, and vehicle guidebook and 3 receipts that had signed and one of them had been matched.

After the first transfer, Acoka confirmed to Muhamad Ramadan via his cellphone. Then for the payment of the sale and purchase transaction, Jamaludin made a second transfer of Rp72 million. This was also confirmed again to Muhamad Ramadan.

"Acoka then said that in the event of a problem in buying and selling, he was ready to double the loss. Thanks to Acoka's instructions, Jamaludin made another second transfer at 10.00 WIB," he said.

After the payment was complete, the two rushed to leave the location. After the car was turned on by Jamaludin, Acoka actually said not to leave first, before Muhamad Ramadan transferred the money from the sale to Acoka.

After the payment process for the car purchase of Rp140 million was completed, Acoka actually admitted that Muhamad Ramadan was not his son.

Hearing this statement, Ahmad Faisal and Jamaludin became confused and panicked. Jamaludin then left using a motorbike and Ahmad Faisal used the car that had been paid for.

"Then Acoka actually pulled the car and fell, then he shouted at Faisal with the words'stealer' which provoked residents," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Armunanto, said that car buyers reported cases of fraud and beatings because they had been beaten by local residents.

"We are currently conducting an investigation because the report was just last Saturday. The victim (of persecution) has been post-mortem due to injuries during the pursuit," he said.
