Student Udinus Semarang DIEd By A Number Of People Who Wanted To Fight

SEMARANG - Police are investigating the death of a student named Muhammad totaling Nugroho Hermawa allegedly due to being stabbed with a sharp weapon by a group of people who will fight on Tuesday morning.

Gajahmungkur Police Chief Kompol Agus Hartono said the victim, who was a Udinus Semarang student, died with a wound to his leg.

"He died at the location due to severe injuries to the thigh," he said in Semarang, Antara, Tuesday, September 17.

According to him, the unfortunate incident began when the victim was riding with a colleague on Kelud Street, Semarang City. At the same time, he said, there were about 10 gangs suspected of being involved in a brawl.

"This group is suspected of having a fight with other groups. There is only a gathering point," he said.

While passing at the location, he continued, the gang attacked the victim who was riding the motorcycle.

The Gajamhmungkur Police together with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Semarang Polrestabes, he said, are currently hunting down the perpetrators based on evidence and witness statements obtained at the location.

"We have examined witnesses and CCTV footage around the scene," he said.
