Police Are Still Hunting For Stabbing Perpetrators At Sukolilo Pati Because Of A Noisy Exhaust Quarrel

The Pati City Police, Central Java, are still pursuing the alleged stabbing perpetrator at the night market in Kedungwinong Village, Sukolilo District, Pati, Thursday (12/9) night, resulting in the death of the victim and injury.

"In addition to asking for statements from a number of witnesses, we are also still looking for the alleged perpetrator and collecting evidence," said Head of the Pati Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol M. Alfan Armin, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 17.

He said that so far 15 witnesses have been questioned regarding the case. They include the victim's family, night market managers, night market traders, and parking attendants.

The stabbing incident that occurred in the parking lot of a night market event in Kedungwinong Village Field, Sukolilo District, Pati, on Thursday (12/9) night, began when the victim named Damas Adi (22) with Helmi Saputro (23) both from Sukolilo Village, Sukolilo District, Pati, came to the night market.

They both ride motorbikes with noisy exhausts. When entering the parking area, suddenly there was a commotion between the two victims and several people at the parking location.

After a commotion, the victim Damas Adi Prasetyo was seen lying in the parking area bleeding, while his friend Helmi Saputra fled to the east to the residents' houses and was also injured.

For this incident, residents reported to the Bhabinkamtibmas officers, then officers from the Sukolilo Police came to the location and took the two victims to the Sukolilo Health Center.

While at the Puskesmas, the victim Damas Adi Prasetyo was declared dead, while Helmi Saputra received medical treatment for his injuries.
