JAKARTA - The Ministry of State Secretariat stated that it had received a letter from the General Chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid addressed to President Joko Widodo. The letter was sent by Arsjad Rasjid, Sunday, September 15.

"Sunday, September 15, 2024, the Ministry of State Secretariat has received a letter from Mr. Arsjad Rasjid," said Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana in a short message in Jakarta, Monday, September 16.

Ari did not reveal the contents of the letter sent by Arsjad Rasjid. However, the letter is suspected to be related to the holding of an extraordinary national meeting (munaslub) which led to the dualism of the leadership of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ari said the letter was still being processed further.

"The letter is still in the Ministry of State Secretariat, it has not been submitted to the President. The letter will be processed further soon," Ari explained.

Previously, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held the 2024 National Conference. According to the provisions, the Munaslub can be held if there is a violation of the principles of the organization's AD/ART.

The 2024 National Conference of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry then appointed Anindya Bakrie as the new Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Arsjad Rasjid's party called the holding of the National Conference invalid.
