Car Findings Are Considered To Be More Strengthening Allegations That Harun Masiku Has A Protecter

JAKARTA - Former investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Yudi Purnomo said the finding of a car belonging to fugitive Harun Masiku further strengthens the suspicion that there are parties who are protectors. The anti-corruption commission must immediately evaluate its work and focus on finding the figure.

This was conveyed by Yudi in response to the statement of the Chairman of the KPK Meanwhile, Nawawi Pomolango regarding the latest findings in this case, namely the car used by Harun Masiku. This vehicle was found at Thamrin Residence and there are important documents in it.

"That with Harun Masiku leaving his car, the more clues were opened, there were strong people protecting Harun Masiku, so he dared to leave his assets," Yudi said in a written statement quoted on Saturday, September 14.

This condition made Yudi urge the KPK to immediately determine a suspect in the alleged obstruction of justice in the Harun Masiku case. Moreover, investigators some time ago examined witnesses who were suspected of being related to this.

"Dare to raise an investigation warrant and determine a suspect," he said.

According to him, the KPK leadership could no longer delay these efforts. This is because their leadership period is only three months left until December.

"Don't leave the fugitive's homework that will be a burden for the next KPK leadership," said Yudi.

As previously reported, Harun Masiku has now been a fugitive for four years or since 2020. This escape was carried out after being named a suspect in the bribery of former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to serve as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives through the interim replacement mechanism (PAW).

As for this case, the anti-corruption commission asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent five people from leaving the country. One of them is the staff of the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto, Kusnadi.
