PKB Claims Prabowo Offers Cadre Names For Candidates For Ministers In New Cabinet

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PKB faction of the DPR RI Cucun Ahmad Syamsurizal said his political party had been asked to present the names of cadres for ministerial candidates for the presidential government cabinet elected Prabowo Subianto for the 2024-2029 period.

"Anyway, the names of the best cadres, professional in the field they are asked for, will definitely talk like that. Yes, the requested PKB is like that, we send the names," said Cucun at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Antara, Friday, September 13.

He considered that Prabowo had also done the same thing to other parties and only knew the party's general chairmen.

Regarding the issue of increasing the number of ministries, according to him PKB has approved the Draft Law on the Ministry of State to be brought to a plenary meeting. PKB supports steps for Indonesia's progress.

"This is part of the democratic process that exists in us, seeing how Pak Prabowo accelerates what is meant by his quick win programs," he said.

He also assessed that so far the concept of food independence targeting Indonesia as a world food barn has not been achieved. So he also believes that there will definitely be a separation of ministries to accelerate the target.

"That's why later the establishment of the new ministries of institutions, including the budget, in the APBN Law, which we will hold on Tuesday," he said.

There are now issues about the number of cabinet ministers which will increase from 34 to 44 in the upcoming Prabowo Subianto government.

In addition, Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees Hashim Djojohadikusumo while attending an event in Jakarta last week also revealed that there are four alumnus of Taruna Nusantara High School who will be included in Prabowo's cabinet list. However, he admitted that he had promised Prabowo not to reveal the names to the public.
