KIM Plus Doesn't Propose Name Heru To Be A Candidate For Acting Governor Of DKI, PAN: We Will Face Pilkada

JAKARTA - Eight factions in the DKI Jakarta DPRD who are members of the Compact Indonesia Maju Coalition (KIM) Plus did not propose Heru Budi Hartono to become the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Member of the PAN faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Husen revealed the reason KIM Plus did not want Heru's term to be extended after two years in office.

One of them, KIM Plus wants the Acting Governor of DKI to be refreshed because he is in office during the 2024 Pilkada stage, starting from the campaign period, voting, vote counting, to the inauguration of the elected Governors and Deputy Governors of Jakarta.

"Mr. Heru has twice (one year and extended the following year to serve) Acting. Second, there also needs to be a refresher. We will face the regional elections, if there is a refresher, it will be a peaceful election, cool," explained Husen at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Friday, September 13.

KIM Plus compactly proposed the names Teguh Setyabudi, Tomsi Tohir, and Akmal Malik. There are other names also proposed by a handful of KIM Plus political parties, namely Acting Governor of South Papua Rudy Sufahriadi proposed by PKS, and Secretary of DKI Joko Agus Setyono by NasDem.

Considering that the number of parties in KIM Plus is the majority in the DPRD, finally Teguh Setyabudi, Akmal Malik, and Tomsi Tohir have been named as 3 names of candidates for the DKI DPRD proposal.

Teguh Setyabudi was proposed by 8 factions, Tomsi Tohir 7 factions, and Akmal Malik 7 factions.

Currently, Teguh Setyabudi is the Director General of Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Akmal Malik is the Acting Governor of East Kalimantan, and Tomsi Tohir is now Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Meanwhile, only the PDIP faction proposed a different name from KIM Plus. Namely Heru Budi Hartono, who is currently the Acting Governor of DKI, Secretary of DKI Joko Agus Setyono, and Deputy Governor of DKI Marullah Matali.

Furthermore, the three names will be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs which also has three names proposed.

The proposal from the DPRD and the Ministry of Home Affairs will later be submitted to President Jokowi to choose one of the names that will fill the vacant positions until the elected Jakarta Governors and Deputy Governors of the 2024 Pilkada are sworn in.

More specifically, here are the proposals for the names of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta from each faction:
