The Rescue Team For The Evacuation Of 26 Passengers Of The Post-Disakace Transportation Ship In Tanjungan, Pari Island

JAKARTA - The North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) evacuated 26 ship passengers belonging to the Transportation Service, KM Sangaji who had been adrift in the waters of Pari Island, South Seribu Islands, Tuesday, September 10.

Head of Operational Section (Kasi) of the North Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. (Sudin) and the Thousand Islands, Gatot Sulaeman, said the ship was stranded into shallow waters.

"The weather is foggyly thick, so the view is not visible," he said, as quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 10.

The North Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. (Jakut) deployed two "rescue boats" with 12 personnel to evacuate passengers.

"Initially the search for victims was at 10.35 WIB," he said.

He explained that the incident began when the ship belonging to the Transportation Service (Dishub) KMSangaji departed from Muara Angke Port at 08.00 WIB carrying 32 passengers to Untung Island Java.

Then, lowering two other passengers and shifting to Pari Island Port, dropped 11 people. After that, go to Panggang Island.

While on the way there was an accident in the waters of the Northeast of Pari Island (Tanjungan Pulau Pari) at the position of the coordinates of Lintang 05 deg.51'208"S Longitude 106 deg 38'252.

Then, one of the passengers who is the Head of the Fire Department of the Karya Island Post, Rudi Sujarwo communicated to the members of the guard picket of the Pari Island Post which then forwarded by reporting to members of the Pari Island Police Post.

Furthermore, members of the Damkar guard picket with related agencies drove to the Tanjungan Timur sea water scene on Pari Island to evacuate ship passengers.

"A total of 26 passengers were evacuated to Pati Island safely. There were no casualties. The passengers were recorded and continued their journey using another Dishub ship," said Gatot.
