JAKARTA - The Indonesian Air Force (AU) held a joint exercise with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) in Pekanbaru, Riau Province.

This activity is to hone the capabilities of F -16 fighter pilots, including carrying out "Air to Air Refuelling" or refueling in the air.

He said the Air Force Headquarters had assigned the Roesmin Nurjadin (Rsn) Pekanbaru Air Force Base as a preparation and support for joint training. The exercise was carried out for one week, 9-13 September 2024.

Air Manuver or Air Maneuver Exercise Bilateral Fighter Interaction (AMX BFI) in 13 of 2024 between the Indonesian Air Force and RSAF also took the training area in the "Joint Training" Area Rsn Air Base.

He explained that the implementation of "water to air revolving" requires high mutual trust, both from tankers and planes filled. This of course requires high cooperation between AU and RSAF.

As the perpetrators, AMX BFI 13/24 is Air Squadron 3 pilot, Air Squadron 14 Air Wing 3 Iswajudi Air Base and Air Squadron 16 Air Wing 6 Rsn Air Base.

In this case, several training programs are carried out, including water to air refuelling exercises, which the Indonesian Air Force F -16 aircraft will carry out refueling in the air with a multi-role counter transport, RSAF, then there is also an ambush mission exercise and a "basic fighter maneuver".
