PARIAMAN - The Resort Police (Polres) of Pariaman City, West Sumatra, revealed a case of exploitation of a girl from Padang Sago District, Padang Pariaman Regency with the initials K (14) by her half-brother with the initials R (15).

"There are six perpetrators (suspects), we have arrested three suspects, one of whom is still a minor. While the other three are still at large," said Pariaman Police Chief AKBP Andreanaldo Amdemi as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 9.

He said that in this case suspect R, who is also a resident of the same sub-district, acted as a pimp and offered victims to a number of mashers, resulting in three exploits that began in mid-June 2024.

In the three acts of exploitation, R was kept at boarding house K until he was finally taken home. Meanwhile, the location of the depraved act was carried out at hotels and inns in Pariaman.

He conveyed that the case began when R invited K to go with him by looking for work at a cafe in Pariaman City. The victim, who came from an underprivileged family, was interested in the offer.

"The victim wanted to ask permission from his parents to work in Pariaman, but R forbade it," he said.

Suspect R, he said, ordered the victim to ask permission from parents to go to Grandma's house so that the action went smoothly.

Furthermore, the victim was taken to Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman and met with a number of men who were perpetrators who used R. The perpetrator had previously received a photo of the victim from the suspect.

"At that time the victim was suspicious, but was threatened by suspect R," he said.

Furthermore, he said, the victim was taken to the inn in Pariaman. At the inn, the suspect committed immoral acts against the victim.

He said that after the suspect sent K back to his parents, the victim reported what his half-brother had done to his mother.

"Furthermore, the victim's mother immediately reported to the Pariaman Police on August 1, 2024, and we immediately followed up on the report," he said.

According to him, the act of suspect R together with the six later suspects was threatened with 15 years in prison for committing acts of economic and/or sexual exploitation of children or kidnapping of selling, and/or trafficking children.
