JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received a report regarding the private jets used by Bobby Nasution and Kaesang Pangarep. KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika revealed the sustainability of the process.

"If it is complete, if it is still lacking, the reporter will ask the reporter to complete the supporting documents," said Tessa to VOI, Monday, September 9, 2024.

Tessa said the investigation into complaints related to the use of private jets by Kaesang and Bobby depended on how strong the report was. The review process is currently being worked on.

"It cannot be determined (the time period, ed). Depending on the review process and the completeness of the documents that can be obtained," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK had received two complaints about the use of private jets by the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) who is also the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep. Those who complained were the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) and lecturers at the Jakarta State University (UNJ) Ubaidillah Badrun.

In its report, the Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman conveyed that an MoU for cooperation between the Solo City Government and PT Shopee Indonesia International was related to the development of MSMEs. He suspects that the jet aircraft used by Kaesang and his wife, Erina Gudono, was facilitated by the company.

Meanwhile, a lecturer at the Jakarta State University (UNJ), Ubaidillah Badrun, reported Kaesang's luxurious lifestyle with his wife who used a private jet to the United States.

As for Bobby Nasution, the KPK closed the meeting regarding incoming reporting. KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika only agreed that there were reports that had been received by her institution regarding the Mayor of Medan who is also President Jokowi's son-in-law.
