Rano Kano Talks About Reservoir Overcoming Water Crisis During Drought

JAKARTA - The candidate for Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno, said that he would maximize the reservoir to overcome the problem of the water crisis that occurred during the dry season. He conveyed the statement after receiving complaints from residents of Jalan Malioboro, Tegal Alur, Kalideres, West Jakarta.

"Yes, this is the meaning of governance. That's why Bang Fauzi, Bang Foke already has the concept of building a dam. The dam is around Jakarta," said Rano Karno, Saturday, September 7.

"For example, yesterday in Ciawi, what is that for? Contain water! Jakarta is dry, open. That's why the system is open, open and close, open and close. That's the point, not for rice fields irrigation, Jakarta doesn't have rice fields. But the point is for the source of the raw water. That's the main thing," he continued.

Apart from the water crisis, Rano Karno also hopes that his colleagues from the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PDI-P faction will help him to gather input and complaints from the public in each region.

Dia dan Pramono Anung berharap, selaku Bakal Calon Gubernur dapat mencari solusi dari berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi di Jakarta.

"Now indeed, in the sense of the word, I beg all DPRD members, who are the Jakarta electoral district, Jakarta DPRD colleagues, to give us a mapping," he said.

"Where our territory must come, where we are already strong, where we are weak. This means that it becomes a focus. This is not a long time, only two months," said Rano Karno.
