Rano Karno Umbar Promises To Revitalize Traditional Markets

JAKARTA - The candidate for Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno, said that he promised to revitalize traditional markets, if he was elected as a leader. He conveyed the promise after visiting and meeting with traders at Muara Karang Market, Jakarta.

"We need a market, because that's where people gather. A place to socialize, maybe we just think the market is just a place to buy and sell. No, that's where we coordinate. Because from the start of the market, there will be enthusiasm, solidarity," said Rano Karno, Saturday, September 7th.

According to him, revitalization is an important step for traders. Because, it will have an impact on the convenience of buyers and it is possible to increase the number of visitors.

"Well, the economy will definitely move. So it means that the market is important. It means this. We will pull the traders on the road so they don't disturb traffic," he said.

Not only that, the man who is known for his acting as Doel in the film 'Si Doel Anak Betawi' also said that he had absorbed the input from members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PDI-P faction regarding the challenges of fixing Jakarta.

Improvements in Jakarta are known not to be an easy matter. There are many problems that must be addressed, such as spatial planning to congestion.
