The West Jakarta Metro Police have finally named only two unscrupulous mass organizations as suspects in the case of beatings and destroying the stalls of avocado fruit traders in Kembangan, West Jakarta, Friday, September 6.

The two suspects with the initials SA (34), a resident of North Meruya and AM (37), a resident of Joglo, could only surrender after the police determined their status as suspects.

"Two people have been declared sufficient evidence to be named suspects, while eight others are only witnesses," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes M Syahduddi to reporters, Friday, September 6.

The incident occurred when the two suspects were drunk claiming to be members of a mass organization and asking the thugs for Rp. 35 thousand from the traders. However, the victim only gave Rp. 10,000 to the victim.

A verbal altercation between the perpetrator and the merchant was broken up by local residents. The perpetrator then left the location, but 30 minutes later returned with eight other people.

They damaged the stall by throwing a block stone and damaging the fruit shop facilities. Not satisfied with the damage, the two suspects with the initials SA and AM then beat AR, which caused injuries to the forehead, forehead, and face of the victim.

Based on his confession, the perpetrator took the action for the first time. He asked for money from thugs for spree.

As a result of their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code and Article 170 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution and destruction.

"They face a maximum sentence of five years in prison," he said.
