Danovan Sembiring, A Resident Of Bekasi, Desperately Threatens Police With Machetes And Badik

JAKARTA - Danovan Sembiring Meliala (43), a resident of Bekasi City, West Java, is classified as reckless. He threatened a number of residents and even police officers with sharp weapons, badik and machetes. Luckily no one was injured, Danovan was arrested.

Danovan, the short and earthquaked man, threatened members of Bhabinkamtibmas, or Binmas Pulogadung Police, East Jakarta.

Pulogadung Police Chief Kompol Suroto said the threat to use sharp weapons took place on Jalan Kayu Putih, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta on Thursday, September 5.

The victim is a member of the Pulogadung Police with the initials Aiptu AS who works in the Kayu Putih Village area.

"The incident began when Danovan Sembiring Meliala was driving a Mitsubishi Total Diesel with the number F 7112 FA," said Kompol Suroto when confirmed, Friday, September 6.

Then when he arrived around Jalan Kayu Putih, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung, the perpetrator's car broke down.

Furthermore, the perpetrator got out of the vehicle and threatened the parking attendant and other motorists using sharp weapons of the type of machete.

"Then members of Bhabinkamtibmas came to ask the perpetrator to keep his sharp weapon. However, the perpetrator actually directed the badik at the officers and hit Aiptu Agus. The perpetrator was then dropped by Aiptu Agus and secured," he said.

The perpetrators and evidence were then taken to the Pulogadung Police for further legal proceedings.

"The confiscated evidence contained two badik sharp weapons and machetes," he said.

Until now, the perpetrator Danavan is still undergoing examination at the Pulogadung Police. The police are still investigating the motive for the threats committed by the perpetrators against members of the police and community members.

"The motive is still being explored," he said.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrators face criminal charges Article 336 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951.
