The police closed the road in the Horse Statue area, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta ahead of the dinner at the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024.

The National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta is the location of a dinner for the head of state and an honorary guest at the 2024 ISF event.

It appears that the police are starting to close along Jalan MH Thamrin-Jalan Jenderal Sudirman (Bundaran Patung Kuda to the Senayan Roundabout) from 18.55 WIB.

The closure was also carried out until Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan and Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur or right in the area of the Vatican Holy See Embassy.

Not only the police, personnel from the Transportation Service (Dishub) and the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) were also seen guarding and ensuring that the roads around the Monas area were sterile.

Traffic flow was seen closed when guests or state officials headed for Monas entrance. At that time, vehicles were prohibited from crossing the road.

"Shut up first, get sterile first, guests want to pass, close now," said the officer on duty.

The Monas door began to be guarded by police personnel and the event committee to ensure the arrival of invited guests.

Operational activities in the Monas area were also closed to the public for two days on Wednesday (4/9) and this Thursday.

Previously, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) said that the Monas area, Jakarta, was the location of a dinner for heads of state and guests of honor at the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 event.

"Monas was chosen to be the venue for dinner because this monument reflects the noble values of the history of Indonesia's revival, which is in line with the spirit of collaboration that the ISF wants to carry. In the midst of current global challenges, the spirit of collaboration is very important to realize the actions and innovations that are expected to emerge in the 2024 ISF," said Deputy for Infrastructure and Transportation Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Rachmat Kaimuddin in Jakarta, Tuesday (27/8).

According to him, the agenda will include 500 guests of honor to enjoy entertainment in the form of video mapping at Monas, as well as lighting attractions that display animated or video images on the walls of Monas part of the West Plaza.

Rachmat said President Joko Widodo is scheduled to open the 2024 ISF forum along with a dinner organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries with the support of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia).
