Gratification-TPPU Case, Gazalba Saleh Sued 15 Years In Prison

The inactive Supreme Court Justice, Gazalba Saleh, was found guilty by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) in a case of alleged gratification and money laundering (TPPU). Thus, being charged with imprisonment for 15 years.

"The defendant Gzalba Saleh was sentenced to 15 years in prison," said the prosecutor during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Thursday, September 5.

Not only that, Gazalba was also charged with a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to 6 months in prison.

The claim was given based on several considerations, one of which was the fulfillment of elements of Article 12B of the Corruption Eradication Law.

Gazalba is considered proven to have received money from a number of parties for certain interests.

Then, Gazalba is also considered proven to have committed money laundering or money laundering as indicted by the two prosecutors, namely Article 3 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning Money Laundering.

In this case, Gazalba was charged with receiving gratuities related to the handling of cases at the Supreme Court (MA). In addition, he is also said to have carried out money laundering offenses with a total value of Rp62.89 billion.
