West Jakarta Metro Police arrested 10 thugs who beat a avocado fruit trader with the initials AR on Jalan Raya Joglo, RT 07/03, Joglo Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta.

"The perpetrators have been arrested, we have secured ten people," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes M Syahduddi when contacted, Wednesday, September 4, evening.

In addition to ganging up on victims of fruit traders, the perpetrators also quarreled about the victim's stalls by blind pigs. They went berserk because they were given a share of thugs securing the land of Rp. 10 thousand.

After being arrested and investigated, it turned out that the 10 thugs were members of the Ormas.

West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Andri Kurniawan said the police were still conducting an in-depth investigation. Police are investigating the involvement of those arrested in the case.

"In-depth examinations are still being carried out. We are still confirming the involvement of those who have been secured," he said.

Previously, it was reported that fruit traders on Jalan Raya Joglo, RT 07/03, Joglo Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta, were victims of beatings by a group of thugs.

The victim with the initials AR suffered a battered wound after being beaten by a group of people. Meanwhile, his colleague, MA, was also targeted by the perpetrators.

According to information gathered, the incident occurred when the victim AR was selling avocado with his colleague, MA at the location.

Suddenly two thugs came asking for security money from the victim. However, because the selling conditions were empty of buyers, the victim gave Rp. 10 thousand to the two thugs.

Apparently, the Rp10 thousand gift by the victim irritated the two perpetrators because they felt humiliated. The two perpetrators were angry and threatened the victim that they would call other thugs.

"A few minutes later 15 more people came. They threw up the victim's trading place randomly and threw a glass with a rock," said the witness in his statement, Wednesday, September 4.
