Pramono Anung Promises To Overcome Illegal Parking That Rises In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung promised to overcome the problem of illegal parking that is still rife in Jakarta, one of which is by inviting managers to participate in finding solutions.

"So the illegal parking manager is involved in solving developments and parking problems in the area. But not thuggery, yes. If that's the case, we will fight it," said Pramono, Tuesday, September 3.

According to the man who now serves as Cabinet Secretary, controlling illegal parking needs to be done.

"You can't give space to illegal parking attendants. If that's put in order, everyone will obey. The leader must have the courage to decide," he said.

As for illegal parking, the Provincial Government made various efforts to overcome it. The joint team of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, for example, took action against 442 illegal parking attendants in minimarkets to office shophouses in Jakarta over the past two weeks, namely on May 15-30, 2024.

In addition, the DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) also participated in controlling illegal parking attendants, Mr. Ogah, beggars, buskers, and hawkers so as not to disturb public order and traffic through Operation Bina Tertib Praja on August 1 to 31, 2024.

In addition to discussing illegal parking, Pramono also expressed his opinion regarding electability in the 2024 DKI Pilkada.

Pramono said that instead of focusing on this, he chose to work to knock on people's hearts.

"So what we offer is a program that is truly from the aspirations of the residents that we catch when we meet in public places. Meet at the LRT, MRT, TransJakarta," he said.

Pramono said the approach through solving the problem (problem solving) was more useful than a bombastic campaign or program.

When asked about the mainstay program with his deputy candidate, Rano Karno, Pramono was not ready to answer.

"The flagship program can be opened when it is knocked on September 22. Currently, it is not allowed to open later if it is opened, it will be accompanied by the DKI KPU," said Pramono.
