HNW Prays For Anies To Succeed In Establishing A Party, Invites Collaboration With PKS

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the PKS Syuro Council, Hidayat Nur Wahid, prays for Anies Baswedan to successfully establish a new political party after failing to run as a candidate for governor in the 2024 Pilkada. HNW highlighted Anies' choice, who previously did not want to join PKS when he was about to be promoted for the Jakarta gubernatorial election. "Mas Anies said that he respects the choice of political parties and he accepts the existing destiny. But PKS itself has been very clear that from the start he wanted to carry him, but because of the realization of the seats before the Constitutional Court's decision, PKS made a new decision, namely joining Ridwan Kamil. Indeed, it is Pak Anies' choice, whether he wants to enter the party or Mr. Anies, then no party will nominate and he will then create a party," said HNW at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 3. "I pray for him to be successful with his new party or the party he will create. I think it is a natural thing to do by anyone who has the desire to contribute even stronger to Indonesia," he continued. Although, continued HNW, with Anies, the party will not automatically become president. "We know that at that time, Mas Budiman Sudjatmiko used to make PRD, it turns out that we also know how the results were. We also know Mr. Hary Tanoe Perindo and how the results were. But whatever, of course, his character is very good if he then continues in the context of making political parties," he said. Nevertheless, HNW supports Anies' move to realize the plan that stems from the aspirations of his supporters to establish a political party. Because according to him, Anies can contribute to presenting quality democracy through his political parties. "Because there is no need to buzz each other now, creating conditions that seem as if there must be division. If you don't support Mr. Anies, it means that you have to be anti-Mr. Anies or then support Mr. Anies, it means that you have to be anti-to those who don't support Mr. Anies. Democracy provides space for us to agree or disagree. The important thing is that everything remains in the corridor of law, constitutional corridor, corridor for better Indonesia, "said the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR. Even HNW revealed that PKS had given the option for Anies to create his own party. If later realized, HNW also invited Anies to collaborate with PKS. "I pray that he will be successful with his party, and we will collaborate or compete in accordance with the rules of democracy and the rules agreed in Indonesia," said HNW.

"In Indonesia, many people make parties, parties come and go, parties are successful and not successful. Now that is the dialectic democracy and the sovereign people certainly have a victory to choose and not choose. All alternatives are displayed in front and please," he concluded.
