Indramayu Balongan Oil Refinery Explosion: 100-year-old Woman Becomes A Victim, Experiences Minor Injuries

BANDUNG - A 100-year-old woman named Tiah was one of 19 residents who were injured by fire at Pertamina RU VI Balongan, Balongan District, Indramayu Regency, West Java, Monday, March 29 this morning.

Data from the Disaster Management Operations Control Center (Pusdalops PB) Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) West Java Province, reported by Antara, there were 14 residents who suffered minor injuries.

In details, Noaf Firmansyah (21 years), Muhammad Sidiq Maulana (13 years), Guntur Mauluna (13 years), Suteni (53 years), Yasmin, Mulyana (82 years) Dawin (80 years), Romalah (55 years), Sanusi (90 years), Warti (80 years), Rokamah (80 years), Tiah (100 years), Raminah (60 years) and Ade Suratman (security guard).

In addition, 61-year-old resident Mashadi Dulkodir was reportedly killed as a result of the incident.

Meanwhile, five residents suffered serious injuries, namely Kosim B Durakman (18 years), Abdul aka fair (18 years), Ibnu Ajis (18 years), Ahmad Asrori (18 years) and Khoirul Ikhwan (16 years).

West Java Provincial BPBD Pusdalops Manager Budi Budiman Wahyu said that currently as many as 1.000 refugees were divided into three refugee points, namely in the Indramayu Regency Pendopo, Gor Bumi Patra, and the Indramayu Islamic Center Mosque.

Then three people were declared missing or not found due to this fire. Budi said the West Java Provincial BPBD is coordinating with the Indramayu Regency BPBD.

The BPBD of Indramayu Regency conducted a quick assessment of the location of the incident and the National Army and the Police Force (TNI and Polri) officers who were in the field had appealed to the surrounding community to evacuate to a safer place.

West Java BPBD has also coordinated with related parties and established refugees at three points, namely the Islamic Center, GOR Bumi Patra, and Pendopo Indramayu.
