No Need For Jokowi's Permission When Shopping For Problems To Jakarta Residents, Pramono: Cook The Minister Must Be Like An Elementary School Child

JAKARTA - The PDIP governor candidate Pramono Anung today held a meeting with a number of residents to "send" the problem before the 2024 Pilkada campaign began.

Pramono admitted that today he continued to work as usual as Cabinet Secretary before meeting the residents.

"Today I am working normally, you know. Until half past two. This is also back again. After this, I changed my clothes in the car," said Pramono after meeting residents on Jalan Cemara, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 2.

Pramono emphasized that his job as Jokowi's minister was not disturbed even though he also took the time to meet the community. As long as there is no problem with his duties in the cabinet, Pramono feels there is no need to apply for permission or leave to Jokowi.

"How come, we are at the ministerial level, we have to be like elementary school children, (permit) one by one. No. I will continue to work. It's not reduced. I can be asked by my staff, whether something is not finished. It must be finished. Last night, Sunday I was working (work) until half 12 nights. Right, there is no need for stories," he explained.

Pramono explained the contents of the problems that residents complained about at his meeting today. Residents gathered by Pramono ranged from MSME actors, disabled groups, drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers, to keroncong musicians.

One of the complaints is the rise of thuggery against truck drivers transporting goods in the Tanjung Priok area, North Jakarta.

"I was also surprised to ask more than 12 people and the questions were deep. Including for example the trailer driver in Tanjung Priok, how to overcome thuggery and so on," said Pramono.

In addition, Pramono also received complaints from one of the MSME players who wanted to apply for a business capital loan. However, they find it difficult to borrow through people's business loans (KUR).

"Those who have MSMEs are catering, they don't want KUR, because KUR has interest rates. They don't want interest. If there are interest rates, right at Islamic banks. The question is, can the government bureaucracy do that? Provide subsidies for that? Well, that's how it becomes spending today's problems," he explained.
