Ridwan Kamil Admits Prabowo Assigned To Build Settlements To Overcome Rob Floods In North Jakarta

JAKARTA - The candidate for the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil (RK), admitted that he would build a new residential area as an effort to control coastal flooding or tidal flooding.

The construction of this new area, admitted RK, is the task ordered by the elected President of 2024, Prabowo Subianto. RK will carry out this task if it wins the Jakarta Pilkada.

"Pak Prabowo has assigned us to prepare a new area to control flooding in the north, but not a dam. The shape is that there are already houses, housing, markets, and so on," said RK when meeting volunteers in Bambu Apus, East Jakarta, Sunday, September 1.

The former Governor of West Java said that the purpose of developing the area, apart from being built to prevent tidal flooding, was also used as a living space for the community.

"So, a new living space That's what Jakarta calls new, brings things that didn't exist in the past. Humaneism that might have been neglected has become more pronounced," said RK.

On that occasion, RK also revealed a number of development plans that will be carried out if he is the Governor of Jakarta. Among them are operating vehicles containing psychiatrists to serve residents' mental consultations.

"We are preparing a car to vent. A vehicle contains a consular, a psychiatrist is being expanded everywhere. So, people's mental health is stressed, they can vent, which so far they may have vented to their cellphone via IG story," explained RK.

Then, RK and its cawagub pair, Suswono, also want to expand green open space (RTH), as well as increase car free day (CFD) points in each sub-district.

"We want car free day not only in Sudirman, but in all sub-districts we make, so that happiness can be evenly distributed. We don't have to go all the way to the city. We will have a car free night once a month," he explained.
